SVEAA 2026 College Scholarship

  • The Spencer Van Etten Alumni Association is pleased to offer two $3,500 scholarships to support our graduating seniors as they pursue education at the collegiate level.
  • The SVEAA College Scholarships are available to SVE graduating seniors furthering their education at the collegiate level.

 Award Structure: To provide sustained support during the transition to college, this award is distributed in two installments:

  • January 2027: $2,000
  • June 2027: $1,500

 Eligibility & Requirements:

  • Enrollment: Must be a full-time student in a two- or four-year college or university program.
  • Academic Standing: Recipients must maintain a grade of “C” or better (2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) during the first semester, provide proof of registration for the second semester, and conclude the second semester with a grade of “C” or better to receive the full award.

  • Completed application and resume must be submitted no later than May 1, 2026.

Each student applicant must submit a brief paragraph defining his or her future career aspirations. This should include career objectives/planned field of study. Example: I plan to pursue a nursing major earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). My career plans include working as an RN at a regional medical center; later, pursuing a graduate degree for a career as a nurse educator.

IRS Tax Implications:

The SVE Alumni Association Scholarship may be taxable. The responsibility of reporting and paying any tax rests with the recipient.
